Notes on Usage of the Installer for Windows

Contents

You should uninstall V3 or V4.0L10 products (if these products are installed).

When using Windows NT, please run the install/uninstall program from a user-id that has Administrator authority.

Under Windows NT, if you run the uninstall program from a user-id that does not have Administrator authority, some files will not be removed from your hard disk.

If you make the above mistake, please do following:

  1. Enter "COBATSVC.EXE -uninstall" from a DOS prompt.
  2. Remove the folder \FSC (if you installed the COBOL Products into default folder).
